Filament Christian Publishing
At a time of challenge in the book trade with aggressive discounting from online retailers causing many books shops to close, Christian publishing is very much a success story.
With the growth in Church communities, there is an increasing demand for books which give a Christian perspective to the many challenges of living in a secular society where faith and values are very much in the spotlight.
Filament Publishing Ltd was founded in 1999 by Chris Day who was originally part of one of the world’s largest publishers, Encyclopaedia Britannica. Filament has grown from being a niche publishing house, to one with worldwide distribution including a new division just opened in Australia.
With a growing number of Christian authors coming on board, a new Christian Publishing Division was formed in 2010 in order to provide a service specially tailored to their needs. In 2012, Roy Francis, a past producer of BBC Songs of Praise and a well known figure in Gospel Music circles, joined Filament Christian as a Commissioning Editor.
