Robert has dealt with many owner-managed businesses during his professional career as a Chartered Accountant. This has involved setting many strategies for achieving growth and success, including modelling, forecasting and raising capital. He has assisted on marketing plans, acquisitions and strategies for hiring senior employees and also rationalisations.
Some of the entrepreneurs Robert has met were successful and some were unfortunately not. This has given Robert the insight to write this groundbreaking work.
Having spent his qualifying years with a respected 13 partner city accountancy practice, he joined Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers) in 1980. From 1984, Robert spent 10 years working in industry. His varied roles included being a finance manager with a life insurance company, the finance director of a fast-growing computer services company and latterly a senior manager with an international bank, based in New York. Robert founded Frith & Co in 1994. Since then he has successfully grown his own accountancy practice to become one of the largest and most successful sole practitioners in the country. He has recently been published in Mark Lloydbottom’s new management consultancy book, Deeper (Aug 2013).
