Rev Andy Roland launches THREE books! Out now!

Congratulations to Rev Andy Roland, who has launched THREE books!

Andy launched the three books on Monday 24th April in the beautiful surroundings of St Cuthbert’s Church, London, SW5, at a launch event attended by family and friends.

Andy’s first book, Bible in Brief, is described as “An easy way to enjoy the greatest book ever written”. It offers a simple way to explore the Bible, reading a chapter a day and responding to daily questions, either in writing or online. The book is meant for everyone who would like to know what is in the Bible, whether they are religious or not, for individuals and small groups.

His second book, Discovering Psalms as Prayer: How we can use the Psalms morning, noon and night explores some of the problems we have with prayer and with the psalms. A visit to a Christian Ashram in India showed Andy how to make emotional sense of the psalms, using a pattern of prayer which has lasted him over 30 years. Here you will find a simple way of using various psalms at key points of the day: morning, lunchtime, evening and night.

Andy’s third book, The Book of Job: Arranged for Public Performance, sees Andy introduce The Book of Job, which has been designed so it can be performed as a dramatic performance, or read on your own. The book contains an essay, ‘The Meaning of Job’, reflecting on the clash between the faith of God and actual experience of tragedy, injustice and disaster. The book also contains a foreword from Bishop Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury.

On the night of Andy’s book launch, part of The Book of Job was also performed by a local amateur drama group.

On Tuesday 25th April, Andy also spoke at the AuthorCraft event (a monthly networking event for authors) at the Institute of Directors, London.

Andy’s books were published on 24th April 2017. Bible in Brief is 186 pages long, Discovering Psalms as Prayer is 106 pages long, and The Book of Job is 78 pages long, and they cost £9.99 each. They are available to buy from Amazon, all good book shops, the Filament bookshop, and Andy’s website, www.bibleinbrief.org. They will soon be available on all eBook platforms, including Kindle.
